Alunos e professores de inglês do 6.º ano

On 19th March 2025 (St. Joseph’s Day) students from year 6 were invited to sing some of the most popular mainstream songs of the past decade and share unforgettable moments with their peers and the English teachers! Delta 1 was really crowded. The environment of the room was incredible, and the students could no longer wait to start performing…and what great artists they were!

Students and teachers sang, laughed and had a lot of fun together. At the same time students enhanced their English skills. We can’t wait for the next karaoke for sure!
Now let’s see what some of our students had to say about this activity.

The English Teachers – 2nd Cycle

Students’ review

On 19th March the English teachers organized a karaoke. We signed up. Honestly, we were a bit nervous, because it was our first time singing at school.
At the end, everything was great, and our experience was amazing! No matter how bad we sang, our classmates supported us excitedly.
We hope that the English teachers organize a karaoke again. Everyone had fun – those who sang and those who watched!
Luísa Santos and Luísa Matos – 6ºB

The activity was very funny because I liked to watch and listen to people singing. I sang the song “We will rock you” by Queen and I felt confident.
Francisco Rosa – 6G

I think that the activity was very interesting and funny. My song was “shake it off” by Taylor Swift and a lot of people sang it out loud with my group. I really loved it!

Leonor Mendonça – 6G

I didn’t sing any song but I loved to watch and hear my friends singing. There were a lot of students in the room and they were interested/excited about the karaoke.

Vicente Pampulim – 6ºG

I thought it was really interesting and I feel like we should have more activities like this one. I love singing.
Luz Torres – 6ºG

I think that the activity was interesting and funny. I sang the song “Paradise” by Coldplay with David Sitefane and Lourenço Duarte from 6H and we sang well. The teachers could repeat this in the future.
Jason Chen – 6ºG

I liked the activity. I sang the song “Roar” by Katy Perry. I was a bit shy about singing before an audience but I had a lot of fun with my classmates.
Violeta Fernandes- 6H

I think that the activity was creative and funny. I sang the song “Count on me” by Bruno Mars. At first it was difficult for me to sing but then I felt more comfortable. I would like to have an activity like this in the near future again.
Graça Cunha – 6H

I liked the activity because it was interesting. I was a bit scared when our time to sing arrived but I had fun with my classmates.
Carmo Lopes – 6H

I think the activity was very funny. I sang “Call me Maybe”. At first I thought I was only going to sing for the students participating in the karaoke. However, when I looked at the audience I thought: ” Oh my God, I am so nervous” The classroom was crowded! When I started singing all my nervousness disappeared and I felt confident!
Inês Parra – 6H

I liked the activity because It was funny and I enjoy singing. The response from the audience to our song “Paradise” by Coldplay was engaging and warm. Everyone sang with me and my group! I would love to have this activity again in the future.
